BEHERA: THE LAND OF QUALITY ASSURANCE IN THE RAW MATERIAL.
Behera has to his credit with four large holdings perfectly suited to the breeding of Iberian pork. This ensures the proper evolution of animals from the opacity, pregnancy and childbirth, through the whole process of breeding and range, and until the time of slaughter. This control over the entire process ensures the best levels of quality to which we have come, and also enables the faithful to obtain developed its own personality and constant for years.
LOS VALHONDOS: CEREALS AND BELLOTA EVERYWHERE.
Located in the province of Salamanca and bordering the River Tormes, we found this estate with its large expanse of 430 hectares devoted to the breeding of Iberian pork. There are several types of land: an area of irrigated land for growing corn, an extension for rainfed cereal and large areas of mountain slopes where oak by grass and acorn mark release the animals. Thanks to this site, Behera get inside a race to develop in perfect harmony with their natural environment, feeding released between 14 and 16 months and completing the skeleton and muscles which then will delight our palates.
LOS Jaral: THE HEART OF HEALTH PROTECTION OFFICER.
Farm located in Valdunciel in the province of Salamanca. This is a big operation with modern facilities perfectly designed for the breeding of Iberian pork. Their operation in 1985 with the objective of supplying raw materials of high quality and uniformity, something rare between market supply. To get an idea of rigor in demanding guarantees health care enough to hold the title deservedly so: "Farm Animal Protection Special." Its facilities are a real town: More than 30 ships strategically distributed form a complex with more than 20,000 m2 of covered area, where home targeted animals. These animals are born in parideras individual with utmost vigilance. The reproductive potential is secured by 1,500 females selected by their genetic characteristics and individually controlled throughout their lives. The result was the birth of 75 piglets daily, a volume only sustainable with the strength of experience, the better provision of facilities, the personal concern for the good and do the best programs and health checks. At two months old, pigs already started its development in freedom. So pass their days, running between trees and bushes, enjoying a unique natural setting and with the support of cereal selected from the good land of Castile.
LOS Tinoco MONTITOS AND THE RULE OF BELLOTA.
The Tinoco and Los Montitos are two splendid estates in Salamanca. They are extensions of Mt. oak suitable for camping of Iberian pork. These animals are selected to be the basis of products produced Behera. The intimate knowledge of these lands and oak used for years makes a perfect use of farms from the Iberian pig. The suitability of these lands and its successive layers pose a real guarantee of continuity and uniformity for food and range conditions, and therefore in meat and processed later.

In addition to their own farms, Behera selects and hires the best pastures of oak for the development of Iberian pork, mainly in the lands of Salamanca, Badajoz and Caceres.
